Wedding Ceremony 11

Minister/ Officiant: We are assembled here to join this man and this woman in
marriage.  Through the eyes of God they are able to cherish a mutual love.  With their
foundation of friendship, they can respect one another and accept each other for who
they truly are. Their relationship is unique in the respect that their initial encounter
was nothing short of a miracle.  That magical moment when they knew that they were
long lost souls in search of each other throughout their entire lives, they realized this
was part of a Divine plan.   It is with this amazing gift, we are here today to witness this
blessed union.

Groom, will you have this woman to be your wife, to love and to honor, in all faith and
tenderness, to live with her and cherish her, in the holy bond of marriage?

I do

Bride, will you have this man to be your husband, to love and to honor, in all faith and
tenderness, to live with her and cherish her, in the holy bond of marriage?

I do

Let me remind you that:

Love is patient and kind, not jealous or complacent.  Love does not insist on its own
way but is capable of compromise.  It does not look for what is wrong, it rejoices in
what is right. Love bears all things, believes in the possibilities of life, is full of hope
and endures through eternity.

Repeat after me:

I, Groom, take you, Bride, to be my wedded wife.  Before these witnesses, I promise to
always believe in you as your best friend and faithful husband.   I will treat you with
kindness and respect.  I will stand by you through the good times as well as the tough
times.   With all of my heart, I pledge these things to you for as long as we both shall
live.

Ring

With this ring I give to you, in token and in honor of our abiding love and our constant
faith in God.
